The data and intelligence layer

Global competition, electrification, AI integration and data are reshaping the automotive industry. One strategic question deserves more attention: who controls your data?

As vehicles, production systems, supply chains and customer interactions become more connected, automotive companies generate enormous amounts of business-critical data.
And as AI becomes more deeply integrated into the industry, the value and the sensitivity of that data will only increase. That raises an important question for European automotive companies: do we keep control of our most critical data in Europe, or do we accept the risk of placing it under foreign jurisdiction and legislation?

T-Systems provides the infrastructure that lets companies keep control over where their data resides and who has access to it.

“For European automotive companies, the question is not only how to extract more value from data. It is also how to ensure that this value remains under their own control.”
Production, supply chain, vehicle and customer data are business-critical, and AI makes them more valuable. If they sit with providers under foreign jurisdiction, others than the company itself may be able to access them.
